50 year old Alex Peder of who cares in Washington state was drunk and rear ended a car on I-5 South and killed 2 young men and injured a 3rd a week or so ago.  The two boys who died were supposed to graduate this week before their lives were stolen from them.

I’m sure many of you can relate to the excitement I’m sure these dudes had.  Just another week or so and they would have finished one of the biggest chapters of their lives to date: high school.  They had just gone to their senior prom, probably were finishing up their final projects and finals when some selfish bastard like Peder with an open bottle of vodka on his passenger seat decides he’s ok to drive home from the bar and MURDERS the two boys by rear ending their stalled car.

I am normally an advocate for grace but in cases like this I think Alex Peder should be castrated and fed to rabid wolves.  He has two previous DUI’s on his record, one in 1999 and one in 2008 with little to no real penalty.  (His 2008 DUI was sentenced with 10 hours of community service!! WHAT!?)  And the maximum penalty for vehicular homicide is 3 years for each victim killed in Washington State.  The two dudes just lost their lives because of Peder’s selfish and ridiculous decision.

6 years in prison hardly seems fair to compensate for the pain of the familes, friends, the community, and the high school of those 2 dudes, especially knowing that the moron Peder will just go and do it again. 

Do you think 6 years is enough, or do you think he should be thrown in prison for life, or should he lose his own life for the lives he’s taken?
