from Andy Horst of This Providence:
I am not used to getting up before the crack of noon. But today I am pretending to be a real grown up! It’s 9 am and I’m awake. Go me! I’m writing this blog so I’ll be late to start working… oh well.
I’ve been watching a lot of movies since I’ve been home, not something I have ever really done an excessive amount of in my life. This memorial day weekend I watched the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy. It was incredible. Here’s some “reviews.”
Robin Hood: (the new one) I thought it was pretty awesome except for the guy that played little John. I can’t help but hate that guy because of the character he played at the end of Lost. But the movie was worth seeing. I actually liked how dark it is and how Prince John finally seemed like an actual evil person.
Shutter Island: This movie is genius from a photographic stance. I love this director now and feel the need to go see all his other movies. I did guess the entire plot after only watching 25 minutes of the movie, but that’s ok… I still really enjoyed it. I guessed the ending of Identity after about 10 minutes of watching that. ha.
The Men Who Stare At Goats: weird… i think that’s all i have to say.
Sherlock Holmes: I remember that I liked it when I watched it, but it obviously wasn’t memorable enough that a week later I hardly can think of anything about that movie
Fantastic Mr. Fox: What the cuss!? This movie was cussin’ sweet. If you haven’t watched it yet… you should get off you cuss and give it a cussin’ chance. I want to live in a tree.
Mary Poppins: Watched this twice since I’ve been home… and it might be my favorite movie ever made. Dick Van Dyke is the man.
The Jerk: Steve Martin is awesome.
Are there any good movies coming out this summer? Or any movies I haven’t heard of that I NEEEEED to see??? Lemme know! See you soon!
