Do you ever just stop and listen? How often do you hear silence? We live in a very loud world. I live in a particulary loud world because I am at a show nearly every night of my week.

Dan and I sat outside this morning, just absorbing the Arizona sun. It was silent for about 45 seconds until a couple cars drove by and an air conditioner turned on. But those 45 seconds were absolute bliss.

I couldn’t help but wonder though, how many of us are afraid of silence? I know I am at times. How often do you try to overpower the world around you by sticking in your headphones or turning on the tv?
