Warped Update 1.0
: FOR THE THISPROVIDENCE.COM BLOG :
We made it through the first 2 days of the Vans Warped Tour. It’s funny to jump on a tour like this so late into it. Everyone else is exhausted from months of the same madness everyday and we are still very fresh on the tour. I’m exhausted after only 2 day so props to all the bands who can do it every single day.
We hopped on the tour a couple days ago starting at the Gorge in George, Washington. (yes… there is a town called George in Washingotn) It was pretty amazing playing there. It’s arguably the most beautiful venue in the world. I got to see the Steve Miller Band there for free last summer. That was awesome. Anyways, this was my first day either attending or playing at Warped Tour. I always wanted to go when I was younger but never had the chance. I got to watch some of the bands I’ve been listening to for over 10 years… the true Warped Tour legends like Bad Religion, NOFX, and Less Than Jake. There are some many good classic bands on this year.

Yesterday we played just outside Portland in Hillsboro. The layout was much smaller than the Gorge’s. It was another packed day of sunburns, dirty Honey Buckets and dust. Because we are playing a smaller stage on the tour, I am being forced to share a “Festival Kit” meaning EVERYONE who plays the stage plays the same drum kit. Have I mentioned that the thing is bright pink with skulls on it?? haha. Some of you may have noticed I am doing my best to represent for my boys over at SJC Custom Drums. (www.sjcdrums.com)

So to the Pacific Northwest… thanks for coming out and supporting us. Someone told us the other day that “This Providence is Dead!”…. I’m sorry dude, we are far from dead. So thanks to you fans who keep This Providence alive! Tell your friends!

California… here we come.
