I spent my evening last night at a town meeting dealing with Seattle and sex trafficking. It was a sobering and eye opening night as I learned a new face of a real tragedy that’s happening not only in my city, but across the world.  It’s not the first time I’ve been made aware, but a lot more is known now than even 2 years ago.  The bottom lone is slavery still exists and children/people are still being bought on American soil.  Only second to illegal drugs, the sale of humans is one of the largest illegal commodities sold in the world. 

At the meeting, two noted things they said will help this issue globally is first to educate yourself about the issue. (See what’s happening in your city. Find out the laws in your state.) and second, TALK ABOUT IT. The more people that know, the more likely someone who is being pulled into, or is already deep into trafficking can be rescued.
